ABOUT US

 

           The St. James - Lanark Volunteer Fire Department (SJLVFD) consists of approximately ## volunteer active duty

    members who provide fire/rescue and emergency medical services to the residents/visitors of St. James - Lanark Village

    area, Florida.

           Lanark Village is a retirement community in the Gulf of Mexico, and is located in Franklin County, which is

    approximately 65 miles southwest of Tallahassee, Florida.   The town is unincorporated, and the community of #,###

    resides in an area of #.## square miles.  There are over #,### homes, small businesses, churches, a gas station, docks

    with ramps, and some restaurants.

 

           St. James - Lanark Volunteer Fire Department's fire district serves a ### square miles are of central Franklin County,    

    Florida, and the primary response area of population is #,### and the secondary response area / mutual aid of population

    is #,###.  SJLVFD's services provide firefighting, hazardous material response, BLS emergency medical service, vehicle

    rescue (extrication), search and rescue, and support.  SJLVFD have three fire apparatus.  Also, we provide a mutual aid as

    needed to Carrabelle and Alligator Point Volunteer Fire Departments.  We have an ISO rating of #.  SJLVFD is a member of

    Franklin County United Firefighters Association.
